Become hot, become more hot,
You, the holy sun.
O sun of freedom,
O sun of good fortune.
We through the storm
Have come to the end of the road.
We have also traversed the paths of darkness,
Also the way of light.
The red road of victory,
The pure path of brotherhood.

Correction from Reinhard Popp:

This anthem was only valid until 1992, not until 2002 as given in the original subject. The First Islamic Republic of Afghanistan adopted a song written by Ostad Quasim in 1919. His song was recognized by the United Nations and was formally even valid during the Taliban regime (which actually had no anthem). It is also the anthem of the current Islamic Republic.

To make this clear, I have modified the subject accordingly.

I refer to a mail I received from Reinhard Popp on March 20, 2004:

The song "So che da Mezaka" was the anthem from 1973 to 1978, not from 1992 to 2002. The anthem adopted in 1992 starts with the line "Qa'alaye eslamo qalbe aasia" (or the like) and is also the current anthem.

Portuguese translation

Aquece, Aquece mais,
Tu, ó sol sagrado.
Ó sol da liberdade,
Ó sol da boa fortuna.

Através da tempestade,
Chegámos ao fim da estrada.
Atravessámos também os caminhos da escuridão,
Até à senda da luz.

A estrada vermelha da vitória ,
O puro caminho da fraternidade.

Bahasa Malaysia version:

Panas, semakin panas,
Kamu, matahari suci,
O matahari kebebasan,
O matahari nasib yang baik,

Kami meredah ribut,
Telah sampai ke akhir jalan,
Telah kami lalui jalan kegelapan,
Dan juga jalan cahaya.

Jalan merah kemenangan,
Jalan tulen persaudaraan.

According to a vocal recording provided by Reinhard Popp, this anthem had three verses. The first four lines are a kind of refrain.

Latin Transliteration

Garam shah lā garam shah
Ta e muquadas lamara
E da-āzādī lamara
E da-nekmarghī lamara.

Muzh patūfānunokē
Prī kra da-barī lāra
Ham da-toro shpo lāra
Ham da-ranāī lāra
Sra da-sarbāzī lāra
Paka da-rorī lāra.

Garam shah ...

Dā inqilābī vatan
Os da-kārgarāno de
Dagha da-zmaro mīrās
Os da-bāzgarāno de
Ter-so da-sitam daur
Vār da-mazdūrāno de.

Garam shah ...

Muzh pa-nārīvālo-ke
Sola au urūrī ğvārū
Muzhan ziyār istunko-ta
Parākha āzādī ğvārū
Muzh varta dode ğvārū
Kor ğvārū kālī ğvārū.

English Translation

Become hot, become more hot,
You, the holy sun.
O sun of freedom,
O sun of good fortune.

We through the storm
Have come to the end of the road.
We have also traversed the paths of darkness,
Also the way of light.
The red road of victory,
The pure path of brotherhood.

Become hot, ...

Our revolutionary homeland
Is now in the hands of the workers.
The inheritance of lions
Now belongs to the peasants.
The age of tyranny has passed,
The turn of the labourers has come.

Become hot, ...

We want peace and brotherhood
Between the peoples of the world.
We demand more freedom
For all who toil.
We want bread for them,
We want houses and clothes.

I'm finally entering the 21st century and getting the foreign script lyrics on my site to be in editable text.  However, I haven't been able to find a full version of this anthem on the web for the lyrics (I'm assuming partly because it's a former anthem) - I've found a few that have the beginning few lines, like this one, but not the whole thing.  Can anyone provide this?  It would be helpful.

(And I'm fully expecting to repeat this request elsewhere, so apologies in advance.)

I can offer you at the moment only the part you've given in the 1st post as a jpg file. If you could provide even a jpg of the next verses, I'll try to input them too, but only with a Romanization, it could be done wrong :/
