Historical background:

The People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola - Party of Labour MPLA (Portuguese: Movimento Popular de Libertação de Angola - Partido do Trabalho) is the political party that has ruled Angola since independence in 1975. In 1976, the MPLA adopted Marxism-Leninism as the party ideology; until the first multiparty elections in 1992, it ruled Angola as a one-party state. At least during this period, the national anthem was often followed by the party anthem, similar to the customs in other single-party states.

Although the MPLA is now a full-member of the Socialist International grouping of social democratic parties, it seems so that the party anthem has been kept unchanged.
